Underage Roundup

O’Connell’s GFC had three underage teams in action over the past week across U14, U16 & U18 age groups. First out to try their luck for the week was the U14 team when they travelled to Roche to play Roche Emmets. In a game with six goals, the visitors were unfortunate not to get any of them with the home side running out 6-9 to 0-9 winners. Next up was the U18 team, who unfortunately had to postpone their clash with St. Fechins to a later date due to a large portion of the St. Micheals squad being unable to play due to school commitments. This just left the U16 team, who travelled to Dromiskin to take on St. Josephs on Monday night, with the visitors coming away with a 6-23 to 1-2 loss. There were some bright spots to be taken however from this result, as all scores on the night from the St. Micheals side came from O’Connell’s GFC players.
