Allianz National League Round 1
For the first time since 2017, Louth started a national league campaign with a victory after a 1-17 to 0-18 point victory over a very spirited Westmeath side. The game started well for the Wee County, with Louth racing into a 0-9 to 0-5 lead in the middle of the first half. Westmeath fought back however, with the hosts leading by three at one point in the second half. The game was sealed for Louth when Sean Reynolds scored the games only goal off the bench to see Louth over the line. Louth will host Roscommon on Sunday, February 2nd in Integral GAA Grounds, Drogheda at 2pm

Storm Éowyn hits Ireland
Ireland was hit by one of the worst storms of recent memory over the weekend as Storm Éowyn touched down on the island. There were widespread power outages and many a fallen tree to be found, but perhaps the biggest structural damage came over in Connacht, where the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence Dome was torn to shreds by high wind speeds. The state-of-the-art facility was reduced to nothing more than just a pitch, with Connacht GAA vowing that they will be looking to rebuild the structure in the coming months
