O’Connell’s GFC made it two wins in a row on Thursday when they defeated Westerns GFC in Darver on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-12. A late Robert Quigley goal provided the difference for O’Connell’s who really had to fight throughout the whole game for the victory. O’Connell’s GFC fell to defeat to round out their Kevin Mullen Shield Campaign on Saturday night, losing to a very spirited Sean McDermotts team in Darver. Despite goals from Robert Quigley and Cian Doyle, O’Connell’s were not able to secure the victory which seen them crash out of the Kevin Mullen Shield at the group stage. Congratulations to James Walsh who made his O’Connell’s GFC debut in the game.
