2025 Division 3 League Schedule Release

The provisional dates for all O’Connell’s GFC league fixtures for 2025 have been released. O’Connell’s GFC will play 13 games, six in The Grove and seven away from home. All fixtures are subject to change closer to the date.

The games are split as following:

Round 2: Naomh Fionnbarra v O’Connell’s GFC – John Markey Park – Saturday, April 12th

Round 3: O’Connell’s GFC v Westerns GFC – The Grove Field – Saturday, April 19th

Round 4: Na Pairsaigh v O’Connell’s GFC – Páirc an tAthair uí Dhubhthaigh – Saturday, April 26th

Round 5: St. Nicholas v O’Connell’s GFC – Jimmy Pentony Park – Friday, 2nd May

Round 6: O’Connell’s GFC v Wolfe Tones – The Grove Field – Sunday, 11th May

Round 7: Annaghminnon Rovers v O’Connell’s GFC – Páirc Annachminnon – Saturday, 17th May

Round 8: O’Connell’s GFC v John Mitchels – The Grove Field – Saturday, 24th May

Round 9: Glyde Rangers v O’Connell’s GFC – Páirc uí Thaibh – Friday, 30th May

Round 10: O’Connell’s GFC v Cuchulainn Gaels – The Grove Field – Saturday, 7th June

Round 11: Lann Léire v O’Connell’s GFC – Páirc uí Mhuirí – Friday, 20th June

Round 12: O’Connell’s GFC v Seán McDermott’s – The Grove Field – Sunday, 6th July

Round 13: Naomh Malachai v O’Connell’s GFC – Páirc Naomh Malachi – Saturday, 12th July

This year sees the introduction of a new format for division 3, with the former division 3A and 3B being merged into a single division. The team that finishes top of the table at the end of the season will gain promotion to division 2, with teams two to five fighting it out in a playoff style tournament for the right to play in the promotion game with the team who comes 14th in division 2. To ensure the bottom half of the table also stays competitive, teams placed eight to 12th will play a mini tournament for the division 3b trophy.
